I’ll be sharing bird wisdom, original audio, recommendations and bits of work along the way to make this flight through life that little bit more magical!
There’s a time to blend in and a time to stand out. When I was young, I used to want to blend in. It made me feel safe, cool, on trend, part of the gang. But actually, it’s good to stand out from the crowd! For the right reasons, of course.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve been fortunate enough to have voiced some really lovely projects recently, because clients were looking for someone who sounded ‘a bit different’. It made total sense for Medics 4 Rare Diseases, not least because of the subject matter – rare diseases. Which actually, aren’t that rare! They wanted a voice that was warm, friendly and inclusive, but with a bit of added edge to it. The script was a pleasure to read and I have huge respect for the work M4RD are doing, so this project was a joy.
And how lovely to receive a tweet from one of the trustees late one evening just after the launch of the video – it made my heart sing!
“Hi Sara!
I’m a trustee for
@M4RareDiseases and a rare disease advocate and I must have heard this video 50+ times (I help with the M4RD website) and the delivery and inflection is just perfect. Great work!”

It’s always a privilege to work on a project that has the potential to make a real difference.
So, to use the phrase coined by M4RD – #DareToThinkRare !⠀⠀
