I’d love you to join me on this magical flight through life. I’ll be sharing recommendations, snippets of wisdom and bits of work along the way.

Voice Over Artist & Time Lord? Ah yes, there is hidden value in a session with a professional voice over artist.

Why do I say that?

I’ve had a lot of voice over sessions with clients on the line. Often, we’ll zip through the copy before the session time has ended. Happy days!

You, my lovely clients, are delighted with the results & overjoyed to have a bit of unexpected time! But just occasionally, someone is discombobulated.

Like an all-you-can-eat buffet, though sated & with safety takes in the bag, they feel they ought to make the most of what’s before them, even though they’re unlikely to use the additional takes. But it somehow makes them feel as though they’re got value for money if they plough on a little longer.

In reality? It just creates unnecessary extra work for them.

The value lies in the invisible.

What they don’t see is the 30 years of hard graft & experience that leads to a creative, effective & efficient session. Nor do they see the pre-session prep.  And here’s the thing, that’s where the real value lies. But you know that!

I’m always happy to oblige, whatever you or that slightly anxious client wants, of course.

But if you want to make the most of the one resource we have that cannot be re-used or recycled, when you’re happy, trust your gut instincts, call it a wrap and relish that additional time!

You see, that’s one of the many bonuses of working with an experienced professional – you save yourself time & hassle.

Speaking of which, a big thank you to all of you lovely clients with whom I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating during November, it’s been an absolute pleasure! And an extra special thank you to all of you who’ve taken the time to leave such lovely recommendations for me on LinkedIn – all fifty of you! It’s enough to make this little birds’ heart melt.

November’s clients.

During the month of November, you’ve sent me scripts to voice that promote shared values & unite staff, help people manage their way through change, communicate health & safety procedures in ports & on oil rigs. Scripts that tell the world about your new products & company progress, discuss diseases & medication that may help. You’ve even sent scripts that discuss the uses of a man cage & tell us women where to go to get measured for a bra that actually fits! Plus, of course, all the festive shenanigans you’d expect at this time of year & a whole lot more besides. Thank you for every single one. Here are just a few of the brands to whom I’ve leant my voice over the last month…

Ericsson

Visa

Janssen

PepsiCo

Nutrigums

Saipem

GE Healthcare

Sage

The Access Group

Medtronic

Aperam

As we launch into the whirlwind that is December, I think we all need to remember to pause from time to time. As the poem by Henry Davies goes:  “What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare.”
