Voice Over and Sound Designer in One Nest!

Yes, you heard right – voice over and sounds designer in one nest! It’s no secret that I like to make your life as easy as possible. So, when the voice over’s complete, if you need a jaw-dropping mix, some obscure foley, or anything else audio and post production, you’re in the right place. And with over seventy years’ experience between us, you’re in very safe hands, too.

I’ve been voicing for well over thirty years across all genres. Commercial, corporate, medical, animation, explainer, e-learning, promos etc. Heart, soul and human connection is what I’m all about. Feeling is what inspires, moves, and leads to action and I’m all over that stuff! But you know that, right?

Sound Designer.

As luck would have it, I happen to be married to a brilliant sound designer – Leon Ford – sound all round. In fact, we met in a radio studio decades ago when we worked on a drama together creating sound effects for Fungus the Bogeyman. Farts, slurps, burps and all those unromantic Fungusy things brought us together. I mean, how could they not?!

Leon’s worked with the best. Dame Judi, Alan Rickman, Juliet Stephenson, The Archers. He’s worked with live bands for Live Aid 2, Janis Long and more. He’s been out on the road for Gardener’s Question Time, Wimbledon, footy matches and cricket. Heck, he even records foley whilst we’re on holiday! Some of that foley’s been used in dubbing for TV and radio projects, and for The Bubbling Toad stories, too. He’s taught BBC journalists to use audio equipment, spec’d the BBC’s radio studios at the BBC’s Media City – he knows his stuff!

And luckily for me and you, after over three decades at the BBC Leon’s come back to roost and is here to create audio magic for me and you.
